Privacy Policy

Fuji Recipe Lab helps you create, save, import, sync, manage, and share Fujifilm film simulation recipes. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. Fuji Recipe Lab does not sell personal data, show third-party ads, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Information You Store Locally

You can browse shared recipes and apply them to a connected camera without creating an account. Recipes, recipe settings, notes, favorites, camera presets, imports, and attached recipe photos can be stored on your device after sign-in. If iCloud is available, a personal library snapshot may also be saved to your private iCloud account through CloudKit so it can be restored for you. We do not operate or access your private iCloud account outside the app's CloudKit container.

Information We Collect When You Sign In

If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive the app-specific Apple account identifier and, when Apple provides it, your email address and name. We use this to create your Fuji Recipe Lab account, keep you signed in, sync your library, restore purchases, and support publishing, reports, and blocks.

Recipe, Media, and Sync Data

When you use signed-in cloud features, the backend may store:

• Recipes, camera models, recipe settings, descriptions, notes, tags, favorites, revisions, and loadout slots.
• Source links, import notes, screenshots, and recipe photos that you upload or attach.
• Publishing status, moderation notes, reports, blocks, and related timestamps.
• Session records and subscription entitlement status needed to operate your account.

Private recipes and private media are not made public unless you choose to publish them or attach them to a recipe that is approved for public discovery.

Premium Imports and Purchases

Premium imports are optional. If you request an import from a URL or screenshot, the submitted URL, screenshot, title, notes, page text, and related recipe content are processed by our backend and an AI provider to generate a recipe for your private library. Photo EXIF and camera preset imports may be processed on your device; the resulting recipe and source data may then be synced to the backend. Screenshot and recipe-photo uploads may be stored as private media so the source remains attached.

Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to receive purchase and subscription entitlement status, such as whether premium access is active and when it expires. We do not receive your full payment card details.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Run the app, authenticate accounts, and keep cloud sync working.
• Save, restore, import, publish, and moderate recipes.
• Process premium entitlement state and restore purchases.
• Respond to support, privacy, safety, and abuse reports.
• Maintain security, prevent misuse, debug problems, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing and Service Providers

We share information only as needed to operate Fuji Recipe Lab, comply with law, protect users, or with your direction. Service providers may include Apple for Sign in with Apple, iCloud, and App Store purchases; RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management; hosting, database, and media-storage providers; and AI providers for premium imports you request. These providers are expected to protect user data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

Published Recipes

If you submit a recipe for publishing and it is approved, the recipe name, camera model, description, notes, tags, settings, author display name, and public recipe media may be visible to other users. Published recipes may be reviewed, rejected, removed, or unpublished to enforce these policies and keep Discover useful and safe.

Retention and Deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete it or delete the app. Signed-in cloud data is kept for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, or satisfy legal and security requirements.

You can delete your signed-in Fuji Recipe Lab account from the app. Account deletion permanently removes the account and associated recipes, sources, media, revisions, saved-recipe records, reports, blocks, loadouts, sessions, import jobs, and backend entitlement records from active systems, and removes published recipes from Discover. The app also deletes its local library and media, Keychain session, and private iCloud library snapshot. Where server credentials are available, the backend also revokes the stored Sign in with Apple refresh token; you can separately revoke app access through your Apple Account settings. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or records required for fraud prevention, moderation, accounting, or legal compliance. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store subscription or erase transaction records maintained by Apple or RevenueCat.

Your Choices

You can use the app signed out, choose whether to sign in with Apple, decide what to upload, report recipes, block authors, delete recipes and photos, revoke app access through Apple where available, and request privacy help by email.

Children

Fuji Recipe Lab is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. Material changes will be reflected in the posted policy and, when appropriate, in the app.
