Multicam: Action Cam Remote

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Multicam: Action Cam Remote handles information when you use the iOS app or visit this website. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to the developer of Multicam: Action Cam Remote.

Multicam: Action Cam Remote is designed to be local-first. The app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, accounts, or third-party network services.

1. Information We Collect

Information processed on your device

Multicam: Action Cam Remote uses Bluetooth to discover and control nearby supported cameras. To make this work, the app processes Bluetooth information on your device, including camera names, camera models, camera brands, Bluetooth identifiers assigned by iOS, advertised services, signal strength, connection state, recording state, and command responses.

If you choose to remember a camera, the app stores the remembered camera's name, model, brand, capabilities, and Bluetooth identifier locally on your device using iOS storage. This allows the app to show remembered cameras and reconnect to them.

Operational logs

The app may generate temporary operational logs on your device while managing Bluetooth connections. The production app does not include a diagnostics screen, upload these logs, or store them in the app's persistent data. If you contact us, we receive only the information you choose to provide.

Information you send to us

If you contact us for support or feedback, we may receive your email address, name, message content, and any technical details you choose to include.

Website technical information

We do not set tracking cookies on this website. The hosting and DNS providers for this website may process standard technical information, such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and request time, to deliver and secure the site.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • discover, connect to, and control nearby cameras over Bluetooth;
  • remember cameras you pair with the app;
  • show camera status, availability, and connection messages inside the app;
  • respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues you report;
  • maintain, secure, and improve the app and website; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

We may share information only in limited situations:

  • Service providers. Apple may process information related to App Store or TestFlight distribution. Website hosting, DNS, and email providers may process information needed to provide those services.
  • Support. If you send technical or other details to us, we use what you provide to answer your request.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.

4. Retention

Camera information stored by the app remains on your device until you remove the camera from the app, delete the app, or clear the device data. Temporary operational logs are not stored in the app's persistent data.

Support emails and related technical details are kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, and improve the app.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we handle. Because Multicam: Action Cam Remote is local-first, most app information stays on your device. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Multicam: Action Cam Remote is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can remove remembered cameras in the app or delete the app from your device to remove local app data. You can choose what information to include when contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection related to personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the address below.

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common standard for those signals, this website does not respond to them. We do not set tracking cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a new "Last updated" date and will be effective when posted.
